Hey,
My Dad, brother, and I are going to go fishing this weekend. I was wondering where the best places for fishing in Marin County are (from the shore, not a boat). Also what kind of bait should we use and what should we expect to catch.
Thanks,
Kenny :D
Kenny's Dad here... we ended up going fishing at Phoenix Lake in Ross, California (about a 15 minute drive from home). Ross is a beautiful little town in Marin County with incredible homes. Just turn off of Sir Francis Drake Blvd onto Lagunitas Road (you can only go one way as the Marin Art & Garden Center is on the other side of Sir Francis Drake Blvd). Take Lagunitas Rd about 1 mile to the parking lot. From there it is about a quarter mile walk up to the lake.
In addition to the several small fish we caught, the kids had a ton of fun catching frogs, lizards, and crayfish.
It was a beautiful day, a very scenic location, and quality time spent with the kids.
