What scary, dangerous or otherwise exciting activity have you engaged in while traveling? This morning I watched the Open Road video Kauai's Multi-Sport Adventure in which Doug has a great time flying down a zip line and jumping off a 25 foot cliff into a pool of water, among other things. (Sign me up!) I also saw an on-line discussion recently about people who literally hang over the edge of 420 foot high Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe (see photo below). This got me wondering... what's the most dangerous or challenging thing you've done while traveling? If you've been fairly safe up to now, what would you most like to do? Hang glide? Bungee jump? Sky dive? Scuba diving? Personally, I would love to go sky diving one day. How about you? Tell us about your past or planned adventures.

A friend talked me into bungee jumping off a bridge. It was kinda cool because I felt like 2 inches taller afterwards. :D

Hi Carrie,

Thanks for your response. Bungee jumping is up there with sky diving on my "must try some day" list. For some strange reason though, I feel like bungee jumping is the more dangerous of the two. I think I associate it with a higher risk of equipment failure. I don't know if that's rational. I don't have any stats to back that up. With skydiving, at least you have a back-up chute. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your experience!

Cheers,
Mike
