Hello:

I'm Bob Campbell, sometimes known as Robert Campbell in formal circles.
I'm a professional photographer and pilot. I'll be one of the moderators on this forum and will be happy to answer questions and offer advice.

I studied at San Francisco State College in the 1960s and attended Ansel Adams' 1968 Summer workshop in Yosemite. Ansel and I became friends, and he introduced me to Bill Garnett who was one of the first photographers to see aerial photography as an "art" form.

While at SF State, studying under Don Worth and Jack Wellpott, I learned how to do my own color printing. I never stopped.

Since the late 1960s I've split my time between flying (three airlines) and professional photography.

In 1980 I taught color printing at SF City College, however, I could not survive on a professor's salary, and I chose to open a color lab in SF's South Park and continue expanding my aerial photo business.

I now specialize in commerial and artistic aerial photography and videography.

I made the jump to digital about four years ago, although I still shoot film when warranted. I am very familiar with Photoshop starting with PS3 (though I hope no one is still using it). I'm currently using PSCS 2 and PSCS3 Beta.

That said, there is really not much difference between film and digital. We're still just capturing light as it falls on whatever subject we're shooting.

Please remember, though, I'm not really a techie. I can offer help and advice on basic to advanced still photo and some video questions, however, I find it too hard to keep up with model numbers of cameras (especially video) and which product is best.

My website is: www.chamoismoon.com.

I look forward to helping develop this forum.
