Looking for a nice hotel on the coast that caters to dogs? Well, if Mendocino sounds good to you, then check out the Stanford Inn about a quarter mile south of town.
My wife and I have stayed at the Stanford Inn several times with our yellow lab Chloe, and had a really great time. The hotel is very nice, and they do it up right if you have a dog along.
