posted by : JimW on 2/3/2008 at 01:13 PM I visited Safari West last Friday with my son's first grade class, and we had a ton of fun. While it was extrememly cold and foggy the day we were there (37 degrees F when we arrived), we still had a really great time. The staff at Safari West are so knowledgeable and are wonderful with young kids. They took us for a short ride in the open sided bus to see the giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, and a number of other cool animals. Then we took a walking tour through the bird enclosure and around by the cheetahs (it was their lunchtime!), and around Lemur Island. What a fun field trip!!! Safari West is an incredible fun family adventure that I would recommend to anyone in the Bay Area looking for a great way to spend the day with their kids.
